Concession businesses sought for 11 public parks

The Government is seeking concessionaires to provide goods and services at 11 public parks over the summer season.

The Department of Parks put out a request for proposals for business activity from April 1 to November 30.

A spokesman for the department said: “Proposals may be submitted for one or more of the listed locations, with the understanding that only one location will be awarded per concessionaire.”

Locations of concessions and square footage

Mangrove Bay: Site 1, 10ft by 10ft

Parson’s Road Park: Site 2, 15ft by 10ft

Penhurst Park: Site 1, 10ft by 10ft

Great Head Battery and Park [St David’s Battery]: Site 1, 15ft by 10ft

Ferry Point Park: Site 1, 15ft by 10ft

Admiralty House: Site 2, 10ft by 10ft

Elbow Beach: Site 1, 15ft by 10ft

Government Waterfront: Site 1, 15ft x 10ft

Daniel’s Head Beach Park: Site 1, 10ft by 10ft

Ducks Puddle Park and Annex: Site 1, 10ft by 10ft and Site 2, 10ft by 10ft

Warwick Long Bay Playground: Site 1, 15ft by 10ft

Application forms and concession location maps can be collected at the Department of Parks main office at Global House, Ground Floor, 43 Church Street, Hamilton, or at www.gov.bm/department/parks.

Proposals, along with the completed commercial activity application form, must be hand-delivered to the reception desk of the department's main office or submitted by e-mail to jlcarvalho@gov.bm by 3pm on February 17.

Any questions should be forwarded to Jessica Carvalho, the acting park planner, at the above e-mail address during the proposal period, with final questions forwarded no later than two working days before the proposal submission date.
