Road reopened after crash in Smith’s

Two men were hurt in a serious crash today.

The accident also caused road blocks and commuter delays when traffic was diverted.

The crash happened at about 6.40am at the junction of North Shore Road and Jennings Road in Smith’s.

A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service said that two bikes appeared to have been in a head-on crash.

Two men were taken to hospital suffering from leg and head injuries.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.

The road was reopened to traffic at about 10.30am.
