Commission of inquiry adjourns
The Commission of Inquiry into Historic Land Losses in Bermuda has adjourned indefinitely following the death of Commission counsel Dirk Harrison’s father.
His father Paul Harrison, a former Court of appeal president in Jamaica, died on Sunday morning at the age of 85.
Members of the commission offered their condolences.
Wayne Perinchief, acting chairman of the commission, said: “As a commission we would like to pass on the condolences of this commission to the Harrison family and we would also like to pass on the condolences on behalf of substantive chairwoman Mrs Justice Wade Miller.
“Dirk Harrison has returned to Jamaica to take care of family business. We wish him Godspeed and our most heartfelt condolences.”
Mr Perinchief said this morning that the commission has been adjourned indefinitely and that witnesses would be notified about when it would next convene.
