An array of Bermuda talent, with many artists kept from the limelight by the coronavirus pandemic, will be showcased on Friday on the grounds of City Hall.

The Department of Community and Cultural Affairs is launching Creatives Live!, with more artists to take the stage on February 27.

The singer Joy T. Barnum will launch the programme, performing from 2pm to 3pm.

Covid-19 health and safety guidelines will be in place, with the public asked to enjoy the show as they pass by.

Ernest Peets, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, said the creative community had not been spared the effects of the pandemic.

Dr Peets said supporting the shows would help bolster home-grown talent, adding: “This is also a way to provide enjoyment and upliftment during a difficult time for our community.”

The February 27 performance, featuring The Unit Band, runs from 12.30pm to 1.30pm at City Hall.

Performances will be recorded and offered later via CITV as well as the department’s YouTube page.
