Taste of Bermuda set to return to Hamilton this year
The Corporation of Hamilton has lined up a series of cultural events and activities to bring life to the city this year.
The food festival Taste of Bermuda will be back after it proved a huge success last year.
The city will also be the venue for drive-in movie nights and a scavenger hunt.
Jessica Astwood, the director of marketing and communications for the city, said: “After a semi low-key 2020, The city is proud to showcase exciting event concepts that champion the interests of the city for 2021 while also being mindful of Covid-19 restrictions.
“Last year’s Taste of Bermuda event was a roaring success with close to 2,500 people showing up to participate in a unique drive-in food festival, and a $40,000 injection into the local food and beverage sector, so we are having a lot of fun looking at impactful and purposeful ways to bring an elevated experience again in September of this year.”
She added: “The Fresh Air Films series is also a staple in our event calendar and a no-brainer for families looking for an enjoyable, free, and contactless outing.
“There will be kid-friendly films first, followed by more mature-themed films for the second seating.”
This year’s line up is:
April: Fresh Air Films Drive-in
May: City Scavenger Hunt
July: Summer Sundays
September: Taste of Bermuda
October: Fresh Air Films Halloween
November: Tree Lighting
December: Fresh Air Films, Late Night Shopping
Further details on each event will be provided closer to the time.
Ms Astwood added that the events were subject to change in line with Government regulations on public gatherings.
