A beach at Admiralty Park will be closed for more than a month for repairs to a hurricane-damaged wall.

A spokesman for the Department of Parks said construction work started yesterday and beach access would be prohibited until work finished at the end of next month.

He added: “The work involves reconstructing the beach access steps and retaining wall that borders Clarence Cove, severely damaged by hurricanes in 2020.

“Also included is grading and landscaping of the immediate area.”

The spokesman said that people who visited the area should use “care and caution”, particularly near the worksite.
