Two men suffered minor injuries after their car flipped onto its roof on Harbour Road.

At about 10.40pm last night, police responded to a report of a single vehicle road accident near the junction with Pomander Road, in Paget.

A police spokesman said: “Officers arrived to find the vehicle overturned and lying on its roof, with two men trapped inside.

“However, they were both able to get out of the vehicle on their own, having sustained only minor injuries.”

He added: “The driver, who at the time appeared disoriented, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst impaired after he reportedly failed a breath test.”

Traffic was diverted away from the scene while the roadway was being cleared of debris and the vehicle removed.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call, 211 or, the main police number, 295 0011.

The spokesman added: “The public is reminded to allow themselves ample time to safely get to their final destination, before the 11pm start of curfew.”
