Plans unveiled for eight-storey building
Plans for a new eight storey building off Pitts Bay Road have been put to the Department of Planning.
The application, put forward by West Hamilton Ltd, proposes a combination residential and commercial building with ten two-bedroom residential units spread across five stories.
The building’s lower floors would include storage, a lobby and parking, while the penthouse would host a restaurant with indoor and patio dining.
The building’s design mirrors that of the neighbouring Belvedere Apartments property, also developed by West Hamilton Ltd.
Michael Collier, the Chairman of West Hamilton Holdings, said when that building opened in 2016 the company planned to erect a “twin” on the adjacent site.
A total of 22 subcontractors were involved in the construction of Belvedere Apartments, spearheaded by BCM McAlpine, with more than 100 Bermudians employed on site, as well as more involved in the fitting out phase.
