Virtual tour allows people to view BNG art
Art lovers can now enjoy the Bermuda National Gallery’s exhibitions via an interactive, 360-degree digital walk through.
Thanks to a partnership with video production company Burnt House Productions, the initiative allows visitors to virtually explore the different galleries currently on show.
Peter Lapsley, BNG’s executive director, said: "As Bermuda’s premiere arts institution, BNG continually strives to find innovative ways to provide the community with engaging arts opportunities.
“Having the chance to partner with the team at Burnt House Productions on this innovative, interactive software allows us to offer a visitor experience whether viewers are in Warwick or Warsaw. It fundamentally changes how we can give access to the exhibitions, provide tours and education programmes, and support our island’s schools as we collectively deal with the impacts of Covid-19.”
Brandon Morrison, the photographer from Burnt House Productions who captured the footage, added: "During these uncertain times, we're being forced to improvise and innovate. This exciting collaboration allows the public to enjoy an immersive walk through. With this new technology, BNG's viewership has just expanded beyond the shores of Bermuda."
