Pensioners should have received their Government cheques by mail yesterday, the Department of Social Insurance said.

Those who received cheques can cash them in at their respective banks during their designated shopping days. Banking hours will be from 9am to 1pm.

A department spokeswoman said: “The department would like to take this opportunity to thank the Bermuda Post Office and the Accountant General’s Department for their collaborative efforts in ensuring that Bermuda's pensioners were paid on time.”
