Ferry service scaled back due to Covid

Cutting back: ferry services have been scaled back during the current pandemic (File photograph)

Ferry services have been scaled back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a ministry of transport spokeswoman, the Hamilton Ferry Terminal will remain closed until further notice.

While the majority of ferry services are in operation, some routes have been sidelined for the next week.

The 6.40am and 6.20pm services out of Hamilton to the west end have been scrapped, while three evening rides to Paget and Warwick – the 6.20pm, 7pm and 8pm services – have also been taken off the rota.

The spokeswoman apologised for the inconvenience caused by the cancellations.
