A musical break from the Covid-19 crisis will be live-streamed at the weekend.

Singer Joy T Barnum will take song requests for her 8.30pm virtual performance on Saturday through the Department of Culture’s Facebook and Instagram pages as part of the Culture@Home initiative.

The concert, part of an arts series designed to lighten spirits, was organised by the Department of Culture.

Other online activities will include a rebroadcast of the Creatives Live! concerts from the steps of City Hall.

The shows featured Brixx, CuSh Evans, and Pan-some.

The virtual Premier's Concert, featuring local artists and a filmed interview with island artist Gherdai Hassell discussing her first solo exhibition at the Bermuda National Gallery, will also be shown over the next few weeks on CITV and the Department of Culture's YouTube channel and social media platforms.

Ernest Peets, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Sport, said the initiative would deliver “hope and inspiration for our community during an otherwise difficult time”.

For more information or to find out about being featured in a show, visit www.creatives.bm or e-mail culture@gov.bm.
