Technical issues are affecting BTC’s home phone services island-wide.

The Royal Gazette understands that business lines including Belco and The Royal Gazette Ltd. are also affected. Belco posted an advisory to its customers.

A spokesman for BTC, a Digicel company, said: “Digicel and BTC have been made aware of an outage impacting their BTC home phone services. Engineers are working diligently on a resolution.

“Updates will be provided until normal services have been restored. Digicel and BTC thank their customers for their patience during this time.”

The company also posted a message on Digicel Bermuda’s Facebook page.

Belco posted on social media: “NOTICE: We are experiencing an issue with out main phone line (295-5111). BTC are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you have an issue that needs immediate attention, please e-mail info@belco.bm”.
