Vendors lined up for Taste of Bermuda drive-in event

The Taste of Bermuda Drive-In Experience will return to Hamilton later this month, with more than a dozen vendors signed on to offer customers an array of treats.

A spokeswoman for the City of Hamilton said the event would allow attendees to enjoy films, cooking demonstrations and giveaways from the comfort of their cars.

Jessica Astwood, director of marketing and communications for the city, said: “We are really excited about the response and level of participation we’ve had from Bermuda’s food and beverage community this year.

“There will be such a wide range of culinary options available; we truly have something to suit every palate and taste.”

The event is scheduled to take place between September 24 and 26 at the Par-la-Ville car park with screenings of five films over three nights.

All food vendors will have a valid SafeKey and attendees must remain in their cars at all times and must wear a mask until their car is parked.

SafeKeys will also be required for those utilising the restrooms, along with photograph ID.

Doors will open at 5.30pm on Friday, September 24, which will feature screenings of Croods: A New Age and Jumanji Next Level.

Doors will open at 6.30pm on Saturday, September 25, which will feature screenings of Raya and the Last Dragon and Bad Boys For Life.

Doors will open at 4.30pm on Sunday, September 26, when they will screen Soul.

To attend, customers will need to show a receipt valued at $25 from any restaurant in the city dated between August 26 and September 26.

Pedestrians or those on bikes will not be allowed into the event, and those who do attend are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
