A drive-in dining event organised by the City of Hamilton has been postponed because of a surge in Covid-19 cases.
Jessica Astwood, the city’s director of marketing and communications, said: “While we are extremely disappointed, the health of the community must be, as always, our first priority.
“Given this current climate, with cases on the rise, we felt this was the most responsible way forward.”
The Taste of Bermuda drive-in was scheduled to be held at the Par-la-Ville car park from Friday to Sunday.
New dates have not yet been decided.
Ms Astwood thanked the vendors, sponsors and logistics team for their efforts and promised the event would be held “as soon as it is safe to do so”.
