Police witness appeal over death crash

Police today renewed an appeal for witnesses to yesterday’s fatal road accident.

A police spokesman thanked members of the public who had come forward with information on the two-vehicle crash.

But he added: “However, a renewed witness appeal is being issued seeking specific information about the movements of the two vehicles involved in Wednesday morning’s fatal collision.”

A 23-year-old man died after his motorcycle was in collision with a car near the Rubis gas station on North Shore Road in Smith’s just after 9am.

The police spokesman said police wanted to speak to anyone who may have seen a black Yamaha NVX motorcycle travelling west on North Shore Road through Flatts towards the Rubis gas station around 9am.

He added officers also wanted to speak to people who may have seen a blue Peugeot 306 car headed east along North Shore Road towards the gas station about the same time.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage should call Constable Noah Harvey on 247 1309, 211 or e-mail nharvey@bps.bm.
