Fuel discount scheme for Age Concern members to start
A discount scheme will offer money off fuel for members of Age Concern every Tuesday for 12 weeks.
The charity has teamed up with Sol Petroleum for the annual event.
Age Concern members will get 10 per cent off fuel from all Sol gas stations across the island.
The money-off deal will be available every Tuesday until February 22.
An Age Concern spokesman told members: “Simply show your Age Concern membership card at the point of service to the gas attendant or cashier to receive your discount.”
The charity will also have membership desks on Tuesdays at six locations from 10am until 2pm so people can learn about the benefits of membership and sign up.
The spokesman said: “Current Age Concern members will also be able to renew their membership on the spot.”
Sign-up desks will be at Sol gas stations in Collector's Hill, Crawl, Warwick, St George’s and Port Royal as well as the BIU gas station in Hamilton.
Callan Bassett, the charity’s business development manager, added: “Age Concern’s Sol campaign is one of our most popular membership initiatives and allows us to promote the benefits of Age Concern membership, while saving our members a good deal of gas money.
“We thank Sol Petroleum for their support and encourage all 50-plus adults to take advantage of this amazing offer.”
For more information on the discount scheme or to join Age Concern, e-mail info@ageconcern.bm or call 238-7525, between 10am and 2pm Mondays to Fridays.
• UPDATE: This article has been updated to show that the discount scheme will run at all Sol gas stations and the membership desks will be at six locations.
