Disabilities day motorcade route

Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute

The Mid-Atlantic Wellness Institute will tomorrow run a motorcade through the central parishes to mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The motorcade, which will feature about 20 vehicles, is scheduled to set out from the Devonshire hospital at 11am, escorted by police officers.

The motorcade will pass Elliot Primary School, Somersfield Academy, the Dame Marjorie Bean Hope Academy, CedarBridge Academy and the K Margaret Carter Centre.

The procession will drive past the New Testament Church Church of God on Dundonald Street and through Hamilton, where it will pass the Ageing and Disabilities Office and the Bermuda Centre for Creative Learning, Dellwood Middle School and the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital before it heads back to MWI at about 3pm.

Police may close off and re-open some streets or restrict parking.
