Four-week celebration of island restaurants to start this week
Cuisine Bermuda-style will be highlighted throughout a four-week restaurant food festival scheduled to start this week.
Bermuda Restaurant Weeks, organised by the Bermuda Tourism Authority, will feature more than 25 restaurants across the island.
Tashae Thompson, the director of experiences for the BTA, said: "As we launch Restaurant Weeks 2022, we are excited to celebrate the hundreds of food and beverage professionals who drive the success of Bermuda's restaurant industry.
“From the creativity of Bermuda's chefs and the talented kitchen crews to the knowledgeable wait staff, bartenders and front-of-house team, the smiles, storytelling and professionalism help make Bermuda's food culture an unforgettable part of the Bermuda experience.
“We encourage locals and visitors to take advantage of the unbeatable prices and memorable culinary experiences and support our restaurant rock stars."
First-time participants in the event, in its eleventh year, will include chefs from Thyme in Paget and the Lina and BLT Steak NY restaurants at the St Regis Hotel in St George’s.
Diners can choose dishes from the lunch and dinner menus at prices ranging from $22 to $52 a head.
The restaurants will also use a mix of virtual and al fresco dining options, as well as socially distanced dining — in line with last year’s edition of the foodfest.
The event will also feature food tourism events developed by the BTA’s experience investment programme last year.
The festival starts on Thursday and run to February 11.
