Schoolchildren with a talent for art have been awarded a total of $1,825 in prizes from an art competition.

The Bermuda National Trust chose 14 winners out of 172 entries for its 2021 Student Art Competition on the theme of My Bermuda.

Karen Border, the BNT executive director, said: “We were delighted with the number and quality of the entries.

“The judges had a truly tough time assessing the wide range of creative and imaginative submissions — so much so that it was decided to award several honourable mentions in each age group.”

The competition, divided into age groups 9 to 12 and 13 to 18, selected three top winners from each category and eight honourable mentions.
