Delays expected as trench work takes place in Warwick

Motorists are advised to expect delays when trench work gets under way in Warwick next week.

Crews will be working on South Shore Road between Privateer Lane across to Tearoom Hill near the Warwick Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Work starts next Monday, June 6, between 7am and 6pm, and is expected to last a week. One lane of the road will be closed during the roadworks, which are being conducted to connect a Belco power line

Motorists are asked to avoid this section of road and to use alternative routes via Middle Road from Cobb’s Hill Road or from Dunscombe Road.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of Island Construction representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals and directional signs during rush hours.

Anyone with any questions regarding these works can contact Tina Beer-Searle, the acting principal highways engineer for the Ministry of Public Works on 501-3044.
