‘Spooky’ Fort Hamilton set to host Hallowe’en movies
An outdoor cinema series will this month embrace the Hallowe’en spirit with two screenings at Fort Hamilton.
The Fresh Air Films event series is set to return over Hallowe’en weekend with showings of the 2019 animated film The Addams Family, followed by the 2021 horror film Candyman.
The free event is scheduled to take place on October 29, with The Addams Family to start at 6.30pm and Candyman at 9pm.
The event will also include free candy, a photo booth, trick-or-treat buckets of Hallowe’en goodies and other giveaways, while food and beverage will be available for purchase courtesy of vendors including Ashley’s Lemonade, Speciality Cinema and Grill and Four Star.
Tamara Smith, senior events and marketing co-ordinator for the City of Hamilton, said: “This year the City decided to put a twist on the Hallowe’en movie experience by hosting the open-air event in one of our spookiest venues – Fort Hamilton.
“We think the ambience of the Fort will really add to the movie-watching experience. The evening will feature two popular new movies but also fun City trivia and delicious food and beverage items for sale.
“Attendees are encouraged to dress up in their Hallowe’en costumes.”
No parking will be available at Fort Hamilton, with patrons instead asked to park at the King Street car park.
