New president of Kiwanis Club of St George’s appointed
Keina Rollins has been named the new president of the Kiwanis Club of St George’s, the organisation has announced.
Ms Rollins will be supported in the leadership team by Scarlett Pottinger, who will continue as club secretary, while Vincent John will return as club treasurer.
A spokesman for the club added: “It is a policy with Kiwanis clubs worldwide that the outgoing president serves on the board of directors for an additional year to lend wisdom and offer advice to the incoming president.
“In this case, the immediate past president is David Burgess, who also serves as Lieutenant Governor for Bermuda for the coming year.
“The remainder of the Kiwanis St George's directors are newcomers Terry Lyn Lewis and Peri Trott; returnee Craig Outerbridge; and two past Lieutenant Governors, Altama Burgess and Gary Kent-Smith.”
The spokesman said the main objective of the Kiwanis clubs across the world was to help children, but other activities were also undertaken.
“Ms Rollins, the new president, has the new leadership team considering projects to mark ‘Kiwanis One Day’ later this month; and to observe Kiwanis Day and week in January,” he added.
