Charities invited to apply to receive End-to-End money

Charities are being asked to submit applications to receive funds from the annual End-to-End event.

Money raised during the Convex End-to-End will go towards four charities as well as the operating expenses of maintaining the Railway Trail.

Anne Mello, the End-to-End board chair, said: “We continue to seek charitable projects that contribute to a strong, healthy community.

“As well, the Bermuda End-to-End acts as a steward of the Bermuda Railway Trail.

“Again for 2023, we are also committed to improve upon or maintain the park – our passageway across the island. It’s our event home.”

The End-to-End this year donated $260,000 in total to the Bermuda National Trust, Inter-Agency Committee, the Ministry of Education and Transitional Community Services.

It also donated $1,000 for its 25th anniversary to each of the 35 charities they had supported since 1987.

The deadline for proposals to be submitted is October 31. For more information, call 292-6992 or e-mail bermudaendtoendrfp@gmail.com.

Charities will have to comply with regulations set out in the Charities Act 2014 and adhere to non-profit and charitable industry standards to qualify.
