Several senior public servants have been moved as part of a series of reassignments set to come into effect this week.

Derrick Binns, the head of the Public Service, announced that as of Wednesday, Jennifer Attride-Stirling would serve as the chief domestic financial affairs officer at the Ministry of Finance.

Valerie Robinson-James will serve as permanent secretary for the Ministry of Social Development and Seniors, and Marva-Jean O’Brien will serve as PS for the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sport.

Jasmin Smith has been named the acting PS for the Ministry of Education, Pandora Glasford has been named the acting PS for the Ministry of Economy and Labour and Shivon Washington-Jones has been named acting PS for the Ministry of Transport.

Dr Binns said: “Such reassignments provide opportunities for the permanent secretaries and acting permanent secretaries to continue to provide outstanding service to the people of Bermuda while at the same time developing and shaping the Public Service.”
