Residents in the East End are being advised to put their garbage out one day later due to Remembrance Day on Friday, the Ministry of Public Works announced today.

According to a statement, waste that is typically picked up on a Friday will this week be collected on November 12.

“Friday garbage collection areas include Smith’s east of Devil’s Hole and all of Hamilton and St George’s parishes except the Olde Towne,” the statement read.

The Tynes Bay drop-off facility will be open on the holiday from 9am to 12pm. People can drop their trash off there during that time.
