A 21-year-old man reported missing yesterday has been found safe and sound, police said tonight.

The Bermuda Police Service and the coastguard had searched across the island for Keni Smith, who had last been seen at 2pm yesterday.

A spokesman said: “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm that at around 5pm today, Keni Smith was located in the Paget area safe and well. The BPS thanks the public for their assistance in locating him.”

Residents had been asked to check their outdoor security or dashcam footage as well as their yard, sheds and any derelict buildings on their property.

Police, with coastguard help, had combed a string of areas including the Botanical Gardens in Paget; Shelly Bay Beach and park, and John Smith’s Bay in Smith’s.

The search covered the area of Tom Moore’s Tavern in Hamilton Parish and surrounding Railway Trails, the TN Tatem building, and Smith’s Avenue in Warwick.
