Hotel guests can enjoy Gombey-themed Christmas tree thanks to primary school students
Guests at the Grotto Bay Hotel can enjoy a Bermuda-themed festive season thanks to the tree-decorating efforts of primary school pupils.
Francis Patton Primary School’s visual art students were invited to decorate a tree at the resort, and chose Gombey reindeer as their theme.
The children spent yesterday afternoon at the Hamilton Parish hotel as part of its Young Ambassadors programme, which encourages young people to consider careers in the hospitality industry.
A hotel spokeswoman said: “The students have worked so hard to make our guests feel at home away from home.
“The children arrived to a special luncheon set up just for them in our private dining room and have afternoon activities planned that incorporate engagement with our guests.
“We are so grateful that the children accepted our invitation, and we are in awe of such a fabulous job they did. Have you ever seen a Gombey-themed Christmas tree before? Come to Grotto Bay and see how it’s done.”
