The upcoming Christmas and new year holidays will affect trash collection across the island, the Government has warned.

This year’s Christmas Day and Boxing Day holidays will be observed on Monday and Tuesday next week.

As a result, any trash scheduled for collection on Monday will instead be collected on Wednesday, while waste usually collected on Tuesday will be collected on Thursday.

Trash usually collected on Wednesday will be picked up on Friday, while trash usually collected on Thursday and Friday will be picked up on Saturday.

Recycling collection will remain unchanged, with West End recycling collected on December 29 and East End collection on December 30.

Meanwhile, the new year’s holiday will be observed on Monday, January 2.

As a result, all waste collection will take place one day later than usually scheduled.
