Government phones back in service
Government phone lines are back up and running after a temporary outage caused phone and e-mail problems for several offices.
The disruption was sparked by last Friday’s island-wide power outage.
A spokeswoman said: “The Government takes this opportunity to thank the engineers and technicians at BTC and at the Government’s Department of Information and Digital Technology for their assistance in getting the services back online.
“The Government also thanks the public for their patience and co-operation.”
The disruption had impacted about 1,300 users, leaving them able to call out but unable to receive calls from the public.
Among the departments affected were the Department of Planning, Department of Social Insurance, the Department of Immigration, Department of Workforce Development, the Department of Information and Technology Service Desk and the Legislature Office.
