WindReach gets $50,000 boost thanks to L&F Indemnity Ltd
Windreach has received a $50,000 boost thanks to a donation from L&F Indemnity Ltd.
The donation, which also includes the gift of five laptop computers, was made as the charity celebrates 50 years of therapeutic riding in Bermuda.
Stewart Ritchie, chairman of the charity’s board, said: “We are absolutely thrilled that L&F have chosen to recognise the 50th anniversary of the therapeutic riding programme with this fantastic donation.
“L&F have been tremendous supporters of WindReach. In addition to their financial support, L&F employees generously donate their time as volunteers for our programmes.”
Gregory Galeaz, CEO and director of L&F, added: “The goal of L&F’s charitable giving programme is to make a difference in the local community by sharing our time and resources.
“In this time of need, WindReach’s therapeutic riding facility and associated community programmes provide invaluable contributions to special needs individuals.
“L&F and its staff are therefore delighted to partner with WindReach to do our small part in assisting our fellow residents.“
Tammalita Joseph, WindReach fund development manager, said L&F had also offered advice to help shape the framework of the charity’s future funding proposals.
“This donation is a sign of the continued commitment of Bermuda’s international business community to non-profits which makes a significant impact to the lives of people in our community,” she added.
