Hasty Pudding bring Cosmic Relief to the island
Catchy tunes, colourful costumes and questionable puns are returning to City Hall this week as Harvard University’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals brings its latest production to the island.
A spokesman for the group said they were excited to return to the island — which has hosted HPT productions since 1965 — with their show HPT 174: Cosmic Relief.
The musical comedy, set in the midst of the space race, follows FBI agent Lauren Order as she partners with film-maker Worse N. Welles to create a fake moon landing with the aid of film diva Shirley Uverdoveme, leading man Theordore Mee, hippie Auntie Establishment and method actress Esther Terrestrial among others.
The show’s official summary adds: “Will tap-dancing child actor Mannie Ventuallywillfall finally find someone to adopt him?
“Will Lauren’s lost canine astronaut Luna Rover find her way back home?
“And, for Neptune’s sake, will ousted Nasa scientist Noah Credited PhD finally find a use for his squeak ray?”
HPT 174: Cosmic Relief will be staged at the Earl Cameron Theatre at Hamilton’s City Hall tonight, tomorrow and Friday, with tickets available now at bdatix.bm.
