Registration for Bermuda Day Parade open to April 21
People and organisations who want to participate in this year’s Bermuda Day Parade have until April 21 to register.
According to a government spokeswoman, the theme for Heritage Month, held every May, is A Bermudian Renaissance.
She said: “We chose this theme because we recognised that Bermudians have always had to be resourceful.
“Our artists have always redefined Bermuda’s creative offerings, whether it’s public art, spoken word or music and dance.
“This Heritage Month, we look with a renewed interest at the talents and identities that continue to shape and evolve our national identity.”
The Gombeys, other dance groups, bands and community organisations are all encouraged to perform during next month’s parade.
The spokeswoman added: “Last year, the Bermuda Day Parade was one of the most attended events in this post-pandemic era, and we are looking to build upon last year’s participation and attendance levels.
“We’re still looking for as much representation and participation as possible from those interested in joining the parade. We want this to be the best and biggest event yet.”
The event will be held on May 26.
