Man, 38, dies after single-vehicle crash in Devonshire
Bermuda suffered its sixth road traffic fatality of the year on Saturday night.
Police reported that a 38-year-old man travelling east on North Shore Road, Devonshire, just past the junction with Dock Hill, lost control of his motorcycle, struck a wall and was thrown down an embankment.
Police and other first responders were dispatched to the scene shortly before 7.10pm.
The victim had a serious head injury and was attended to by EMTs. He was taken by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The crash site was closed to traffic for about three hours while traffic collision investigators and the Forensic Support Unit processed the scene.
