Front Street to see pomp and ceremony for King’s Parade

Front Street will be filled with pomp and ceremony on Saturday morning for the King’s Birthday Parade.

The event, the first to be observed in Bermuda for King Charles III, will begin at 10.30am and traffic restrictions will be in place from early in the morning.

A government spokeswoman said: “All are welcome to attend the parade which for the first time will mark the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III.

“The King’s Birthday Parade will feature guards provided by the Royal Bermuda Regiment, the Regiment’s Band and Corps of Drums, the Bermuda Police Service and Police Reserves, the Junior Leaders, the Sea Cadets and others.

“There will also be a special gun salute in honour of the King, which will take place during the parade at Albouy’s Point.”

There will be live coverage of the parade on the Government’s Facebook page and CITV’s YouTube channel.

There will also be coverage on CITV channel 2, channel 102 and channel 3.
