Appleby Bermuda is one of the nine gold sponsors of the Bermuda Pride 2023 celebrations.

The global law firm is working with OutBermdua — a charity that supports the island’s LGBTQ+ community — to sponsor events, which run next week.

A spokeswoman for the company said Appleby advocates for diversity, equity and inclusion.

She added: “We support Bermuda Pride through registered charity OutBermuda via community events celebrating the LGBTQ+ community and their many allies around the globe and on the island.”

The theme of this year’s celebrations is “Homecoming” and aims to highlight and welcome home the LGBTQ+ Bermudian diaspora.

Events such as Party in the Park, Pride Parade and Harbour Night Takeover will take place from August 23 to 27 across the island.

Bermuda Pride said: “In a world where acceptance is sometimes scarce, the generosity of Appleby is a ray of hope for those seeking understanding and love.

“Thank you for helping us build bridges and break barriers.”

Brad Adderley, Appleby Bermuda managing partner, added: “We are very proud to support Bermuda Pride 2023 and the LGBTQ+ community, not just today, but every day.

“At Appleby Bermuda, we have a long history of supporting our diverse workforce and are committed to a strong culture of diversity and inclusion where everyone belongs.

“We are delighted to play our part in supporting equality in our beautiful island home.”
