Appleby is primary sponsor for Triathlon Association YDA
Appleby has been named the primary sponsor for the Bermuda Triathlon Association’s youth development squad for the Carifta Triathlon and Aquathlon Championships in the Bahamas.
The event is scheduled to start on Saturday with about 30 young people between the ages of 11 and 17 set to represent the island.
Clive Langley, Appleby partner and a member of the YDS coaching team, said: “The dedication exhibited from every Youth Development Squad member throughout the summer months in their training regimens is truly commendable.
“We're privileged to have an exceptional group of athletes who are poised to compete against the best of the Caribbean. It's a fantastic mix of ages and experience. We have young athletes participating in their inaugural international triathlon, alongside seasoned, older athletes aiming to secure medals for Bermuda.
“We have proven to be a formidable Carifta competitor and we look forward to seeing what each of them can achieve.”
Brad Adderley, Appleby Bermuda's managing partner, added: “Our enthusiasm to champion young athletes in their pursuit of triathlon excellence stems from our enduring commitment to both youth and sports communities in Bermuda.
“We welcome Appleby's collaboration with the BTA's Youth Development Squad and extend our heartfelt wishes to the Carifta team. We anticipate a fantastic experience for them all and look forward to hearing their results."
As part of their sponsorship role, Appleby provided the YDS with its distinctive pink and blue race kits, which the athletes will wear on the international stage.
A spokeswoman said Appleby's support had also allowed other resources to enhance their preparation and facilitate travel to the Bahamas.
