Destination Dockyard celebrates summer ending with fireworks
Dockyard is hosting an end-of-summer celebration on the North Lawn.
From 6pm to 9 pm on August 24, the event will bring together the public for a night concluding with fireworks.
The Destination Dockyard Big Bang Finale will bring out local vendors, artists and entertainers for a family night of community.
More than 30 local artisans and designers will display their crafts, which will be available for purchase, while the Clocktower Mall will stay open until 9 pm for shopping indoors.
Everyone is invited to bring blankets and chairs for an evening in the park with Captain Cahow — Dockyard’s very own pirate.
Visitors and residents are welcome to enjoy the live entertainment from RAD and H&H Gombeys.
Free activities available will include Mint Systems roller skating and multiple fun castles. Henna, face painting and a Bermy Stride cycle track will also be on offer.
Rebecca Martin, Destination Dockyard’s marketing and events manager, is excited to finish off the summer with the Big Bang Finale.
She hopes the event will showcase Bermuda’s talented entrepreneurs and entertainers.
“We haven’t had fireworks in Dockyard in many years so we’re excited to shake things up and light up the skies.”
Anyone interested in participating as a vendor or entertainer can submit a Vendor Application Form to Rebecca Martin at rmartin@wedco.bm or The Business Development Team at bd@wedco.bm.
