BCC to host meeting about BTA Connect
The Bermuda Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a seminar on BTA Connect, an online business platform developed by the Bermuda Tourism Authority.
The BTA industry portal is available for local businesses to access exclusive information beneficial to their hospitality businesses and for them to create listings for their services.
The authority launched a partner platform, BTA Connect, in 2018 to be a multipurpose tool for businesses to share data and manage their business profiles on the Bermuda tourism website.
At the meeting on August 31, which runs from 12.15pm to 1.30pm, the BCC will discuss with stakeholders the advantages of the platform.
Once a business has created an account, it is able to manage its account details, and once vetted, be able to upload event details to gotobermuda.com.
Features such as communicating with other stakeholders through the portal or initiating transactions related to vacation rental properties are possible.
BTA Connect serves as a tool for local businesses to make themselves known to newcomers as they can publish information about their services.
The BCC is holding the meeting to give business owners a chance to learn how to best use BTA Connect.
In the meeting, it will discuss a range of topics such as how to create and modify web listings on GoToBermuda.com, add events to the BTA Events Calendar, view and reply to service requests and requests for proposals, access exclusive reporting and content, view partner benefits — including media mentions, website listing views and clicks, update contacts and contact details — and updating vacation rental information.
The meeting will take place at the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, 1 Point Pleasant Road, Hamilton.
The fee for members is $10 and for non-members $25, with a sandwich lunch provided.
