A large tree at the Botanical Gardens snapped, causing a temporary obstruction on one of the roads.

Department of Parks crews are working to clear the roadway to ensure the safety and accessibility of the area.

A spokesman for the department said: “We advise everyone to exercise caution if attempting to drive through the affected area and consider alternate routes in the interim.

“Pedestrian access remains open and members of the public are encouraged to continue enjoying the gardens.”
