The Unfinished Church in St George’s went to the dogs on Sunday as congregants brought their pets for spiritual sustenance.
The Anglican Parish of St George’s celebrated the Feast of St Francis of Assisi with the Blessing of the Animals.
The event is marked worldwide in honour of the saint venerated as the patron of animals and the environment.
Pets of all denominations were blessed by the Reverend Marie Loewen and the Reverend John Stow at the special outdoor service.
Attendees sang a Bermudian version of All Things Bright and Beautiful and a collection was taken for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals
