Caledonian Society ball set to return after absence
After a three-year hiatus, the St Andrew’s Day Ball organised by the Caledonian Society of Bermuda to raise money for education awards is to return.
The ball is the society’s major fundraising event of the year, with proceeds going to awards supporting Bermudian students undertaking tertiary education in a college or university in Scotland.
The most recent recipient, in 2019, was Marcus Simmons, who studied nautical science at the City of Glasgow College.
The ball will be held at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club on Saturday, November 25, in the main ballroom, with the cocktail reception starting at 6.30pm and the main event from 8pm.
During the reception, members of the Bermuda Highland Dancers will give a demonstration of highland dancing.
Other entertainment includes the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band and DJ Aztec. There will also be a raffle and silent auction on the night.
• Tickets are $225 each and can be purchased individually or for groups, with tables up to ten, from BdaTix.com. Details are available at www.caledoniansocietybermuda.com
