Westover Farm renovation RFQ published then removed

Firefighters tackle a 2021 blaze at Westover Farm in Sandys (Photograph supplied)

A fire-damaged West End farm could soon be the subject of repair work, according to a government notice that was posted and subsequently removed.

A request for quotation, which was published this week on the government procurement website, called for quotes for alterations and renovations at Westover Farm, on Greenfield Lane in Sandys.

However, as of yesterday afternoon, the notice had been removed from the website.

The notice stated that the project would include masonry and concrete work, in addition to electrical, plumbing, tiling and painting at the dairy farm.

Architectural drawings included in the application highlight work to be done on the main building, which housed the farm’s butcher shop and staff housing.

The building was seriously damaged in a fire on November 25, 2021.
