Weather forces postponement of giveaway event

A free giveaway today organised by the community action group Grateful Bread has been postponed due to the weather.
The group was due to hold the event at City Hall between 1pm and 5pm but said that due to the forecast which showed rain all day and winds at 23 knots gusting to 30 knots, “we have sadly decided to postpone until Saturday, November 18 same place, same plan”.
The event is the group’s biannual Big Free Giveaway handing out good-quality clothes and household items, toys, bedding, toiletries and other items to those in need.
