Police name victim of fatal industrial accident

Police have identified the man who was killed in an industrial accident last week as 42-year-old Nelson Macedo.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said Mr Macedo, a Portuguese national, was struck by a steel beam at about 5pm last Friday while working on a construction site in St George’s.
The spokesman said: “He was transported via ambulance to hospital for treatment for his injuries. Unfortunately, he passed away a short time later.
“An autopsy is anticipated in due course.”
The matter remains under investigation.
