A fashion show in memory of a longtime member of St Paul AME Church has raised $1,400.

Lovina Flood passed away this year and had been an active member of the church for 82 years.

Her daughter, Wendy Flood Robinson, said: “My mother passed away seven months ago. She was active in the St Paul AME Church and always dressed immaculately when entering the House of God.

“A week before her death she had given me instructions to have a fashion show, with all proceeds donated to St Paul AME debt retirement campaign. A few things I know for sure, my mother loved her family, loved to give, loved her church and certainly loved the Lord.”

The hat and fashion show was held at the church this month and displayed her hat collection and wardrobe.

Progressive Labour Party MP Christopher Famous recently wrote about Ms Flood, describing her as “a queen in the kingdom of Christ”.
