A transformation in the Town of St George will turn King’s Square into a winter wonderland for a festive event tonight.

Entertainment and attractions from 6pm will include fun castles, dancers and Gombeys.

The Corporation of St George said: “This spectacular event promises to be a treat for all ages, with a range of activities that will leave smiles on faces and hearts aglow.

“The star of the show, none other than Santa Claus himself, will make a grand entrance, heralding the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year.”

Food vendors, a toy stall and majorettes will also feature in the event.

The corporation said: “As we usher in the holiday spirit, we extend a warm invitation to families and friends in the St George’s area to join us in the heart of St George.

“This magical evening promises to be a celebration of community, togetherness and the pure joy that the holiday season brings.”

Candy-Lee Foggo, the town manager, added that the Corporation ”is honoured to host this festive occasion in the historic town“.

She added: “We invite everyone to come together, share in the merriment and create cherished town memories that will last a lifetime.”
