Furbert: third sector ‘reflects core values of our island’
Tinée Furbert, the Minister of Youth, Social Development and Seniors, recognised the work of Bermuda’s third sector organisations during the holiday season.
According to the minister, the kindness shown by these institutions “reflect the core values of our island; compassion and unity”.
Ms Furbert, who recently volunteered with the Eliza DoLittle Society, added the organisations “have ensured that people do not feel alone or forgotten and uplifted the spirits of those in need of support”.
Encouraging others to make a difference in people’s lives throughout the year, the minister said: “Now more than ever, it is imperative that we unite and extend our support to Bermuda's third-sector organisations.
“This will help us to collectively ensure that no one in our community is left behind."
