The first Bermuda baby of 2024 has been born at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

Isabelle Clare Faries was delivered at 5.37pm on Tuesday weighing 6lb 7oz.

Proud parents Ryan and Lyndsay Faries described their daughter as a “fast and furious” baby, who arrived just an hour after the couple got to the hospital.

They said that they will call their new daughter Bella. The couple also have a son, Theo, aged 3. Mrs Faries said: “He’s really excited to meet his new sister.”

Mr Faries thanked hospital staff, saying: “We are really grateful to all the nurses and our doctor. They have been friendly, kind and helpful throughout the whole experience.”
