Ariel Re’s Bermuda and London offices donated $195,000 to charities last year.

The company said that 24 organisations received the funds, which was almost double the 2022 total.

Money was raised through tag days, sponsorships and employee giving-matching schemes.

Veronica King, chair of the Ariel Re charity committee, said: “Our staff in both the Bermuda and London offices have made amazing efforts again in 2023 to raise money for worthy causes.

“Ariel Re prides itself on being a responsible corporate citizen and it makes me very proud that in 2023 we were again able to make a real impact in our local communities.”

The Bermuda office donated funds to Big Brothers, Big Sisters; the Transformational Living Centre; the Reading Clinic; Scars; the Coalition for the Protection of Children; Waterstart; Beyond Rugby; the It Takes a Village foundation; and Support Public Schools Bermuda; as well as Ronald McDonald House in New York.

Recipients of donations from Ariel Re’s London office included Parkinsons UK, Ardleigh Green School and the MCA Trust.
